Armel and yamich Join Team Secret’s Dota 2 Lineup

Team Secret have decided to reinforce their Dota 2 roster with the loan signing of Saieful “Fbz” Ilham from BOOM Esports

In a year filled with challenges, Team Secret faced another setback as they were relegated to division two for the second time. The DPC WEU outfit’s hopes of salvaging the 2023 season now solely relies on qualifying for The International 2023. Bidding to catch a flight to Seattle later this year, Team Secret have signed Saieful “Fbz” Ilham for the remainder of the season. The offlaner will fill up the empty slot left by Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan, who recently bid farewell to Team Secret.

Fbz joins Secret on a loan deal from BOOM Esports, another team who turned heads in 2022, but experienced a fall from grace in 2023. Both Secret and BOOM Esports underwent relegation to the second division in their respective regional leagues. While Secret suffered the drop in the Western European region, BOOM went through the same fate in South East Asia.

Secret has struggled to achieve favorable results throughout 2023, prompting the team to experiment with new members in their quest for a winning formula during the Dota Pro Circuit. Despite occasional glimpses of hope, Secret has been unable to sustain their performance, leaving them in a challenging position as they strive to qualify for TI12.

Secret’s current performance puts one of Dota 2’s most remarkable competitive records at risk, as Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, the present Team Secret captain, stands as the sole player to have attended every TI thus far. Failing to make it to TI12 would mark the end of that record, an outcome Puppey is keen to evade by engineering a miraculous performance in the qualifiers.
