Matumbaman Says Farewell To Team Secret

Secret are down to three men. What lineup they have in store before the DPC is still a big secret.

Team Secret parts ways with Lasse Aukusti “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen after two years with the squad.

Secret has acknowledged Matu’s ability and talent as a player, but also his presence as a person in the team. The 26-year-old has some amazing achievements, including TI 7 trophy and one gem of a career as a professional Dota 2 player.

Lasse had a surprise exit from Team Liquid which was being led by Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi. However, his arrival at Secret showed immediate impact in the team;s performances. According to the European team, Matu was like a breath of fresh air for the entire squad.

Clement “Puppey” Ivanov commented on Matumbaman’s departure, “Another chapter has ended, but never forgotten. Lasse is an amazing guy, and I really enjoyed being teammates with him. We shared some great moments together and I am sure that we will keep crossing paths outside of our careers. Good luck to you Matu!”

It is not clear yet what Matu has planned for the future, but he thanked his former teammates, “Playing with the boys was a blast this past year. I appreciate each and every one of my former teammates, and would count each one of them as a friend.”

Now that Matu and Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg are gone, Team Secret are now left with Michał “Nisha” Jankowski, Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat and their captain, Puppey. It is understandable that the organization already has plans for the recent additions, considering that November 21 will be the last date for roster lock. The upcoming competitions will be interesting to see after so many changes post TI 10.
