Valorant Patch 6.01 Notes: Replication Removed, Lotus Updated

Valorant Patch 6.01 Notes remove Replication from the competitive queue while including minor updates for new map Lotus.

Valorant’s second patch of the year is pretty much small in terms of changes, with a series of updates to gameplay systemsyo improve the overall in-game experience. Including a number of bug fixes and updates to the new map, the follow up to Patch 6.0 works on polishing the new content released in the last patch. Also, Lotus is now available to play in unrated and competitive queue.

After kicking off the new year with Episode 6: Act 1, the latest Valorant update goes light on the changes as Riot gathers feedback to improve the existing Agent updates and map changes. Several bug and glitch fixes were deployed for the water-themed map located in India in order to stop players from exploiting them. However, the game’s Dev team has informed fans that this is only temporary and Replication will be back in later patches. Players can still host matches in Replication via the Custom Games option.

After nerfs to Omen in Patch 6.00 along with several minor changes to agents, Patch 6.01 entirely focuses on improving the game’s overall quality of life. A skin bundle is also slated to launch alongside the patch. Here’s the complete list of changes made to the new map introduced in the last patch.

  • The volume for the rotating doors has been reduced while rotating. Please let us know what you think.
  • The Lotus-only queue has been removed.
  • Lotus will now be included in the map rotation for Unrated and Competitive

REPLICATION

  • Replication has been removed from Modes queue.
Although we are shelving Replication temporarily, it is still available via the custom game option.

Valorant Patch 6.01 Notes Bug Fixes

Agents

  • Killjoy’s Nanoswarm (C) will no longer deal more damage to destructible objects than intended.

Gameplay Systems

  • Fixed a bug where occasionally the third-person flashed visual indicator on an Agent’s head wasn’t in sync with the actual flash duration. (i.e. Omen’s Paranoia [Q], Phoenix’s Curveball [Q]).
  • Fixed a bug where the Spike would be invisible and attempting to equip the Spike would fail after changing from Defender to Attacker in a Custom Game and picking up the Spike.
  • Fixed a bug where you were unable to plant the Spike after reconnecting to a match where you died while disconnected.
  • Fixed a bug that, while using the Marshall, prevented full reloading between shots if auto-scoping is enabled. Thanks for all the reports on this!

Maps – Lotus

  • Boost exploit in the back of B Site has been removed.
  • You can no longer get yourself stuck in the rotating doors (we’re pretty sure anyway, let us know if you find a way—also, you’re all very creative!)
  • Breach can now use abilities on both rotating doors.
  • The destructible door located at A Link now has working vision cones.
  • The Spike can no longer get lost in the back of A Site.
