The larger-than-usual TFT 12.23 Balance patch ships a plethora of balance updates for champions, traits and items before the developers take a break for the Holiday season.


Lead Game Designer Stephen ‘Mortdog’ Mortimer revealed the list of changes to several champions and traits in the mid-patch update for the inaugural Monsters Attack patch. Slated to be the final update of 2022, the heft Balance patch contains a total of 55 changes. Besides including small champion changes, the patch adjusts the Hero Augments and traits introduced in Set 8: Monsters Attack!

  • Redemption Percent Healing: 18% changed to 15%
  • Warmog’s Armor = Bonus HP: 700 changed to 500 (Total HP: 1000 changed to 800)

  • Bonus HP. 1300 changed to 1000 (Total HP: 1600 changed to 1300)
  • Gadgeteen Warmog’s Armor

TFT 12.23 Balance Patch Hero Augments

With less significant Hero Augment changes, Riot intends the wrap up 2022 by including changes for Syndra, Gangplank, Malphite and a list of other Hero Augments. The patch intends to improve Syndra’s ‘Carry’ augment value by bumping up the bonus stats from 60 to 70, while her ‘Support’ Attack Power receives a minor nerf while on the ‘bench.’

  • Camille – Carry Bonus AD: 35% changed to 20%
  • Draven – Support Team Crit Chance: 55% changed to75%
  • Ezreal – Carry Bonus AP & AS per cast: 20 changed to25
  • Fiora – Carry Armor & MR during spell: 150 changed to175
  • Gangplank – Carry Bounce Percent: 60% changed to75%
  • Gangplank Support Chance for Gold: 33% changed to50%
  • Jinx – Carry Bonus AS: 110% changed to 125% Duration: 5 changed to 7 sec
  • Malphite – Carry Bonus AP From Armor: 75% changed to100%
  • Mordekaiser – Carry Gains 20 AP every: 5 changed to4 sec
  • Rell – Carry Bonus AP: 50 changed to70
  • Renekton – Support Bonus Damage: 10% changed to8%
  • Sivir – Support: Heals and cleanses every: 6 changed to7 sec
  • Syndra – Carry Bonus Stats: 60 changed to70
  • Syndra – Support AP Per Champ on Bench: 7 changed to 6
  • Vayne – Carry Extra Shot Damage: 35% changed to 50%
  • Vel’koz –  Carry Burn Duration: 15 changed to 20 sec (This is a nerf)
  • Vi – Support HP: 250 changed to200
  • Viego – Carry Bonus AP: 30 changed to10
  • Bug Fix – Now properly gives the bonus damage

TFT 12.23 Balance Patch Bug Fixes

  • Hyper Roll: Hyper Roll armories that should offer emblems will now correctly do
    SO.
  • Missions: The Old Guard mission now correctly completes after fielding four
    3-star units instead of five.
  • Missions: Super Weapon “Acquisition” now correctly completes when you gain a
    Tactician’s Crown.
  • Gadgeteen no longer gives an extra item if toggled at the beginning of round.
  • Reforged items and Pandora’s items will no longer be deleted by salvage bin
  • Gadgeteen round timer is no longer reset by augments that randomize your units
  • Fixed Bug where hackers would change targets at seemingly random times
  • Fixed Bug: Fiddlesticks support augment (Absolute Corruption) now correctly
    grants AP to its ally.
