Minecraft Legends, Redfall and More!

Here are all the trailers from the Xbox Developer Direct from January 25, 2023!

Minecraft Legends

We start off with the action-adventure game set in the world of Minecraft, an online coop experience co-developed by Blackbird interactive. Players compete against each other, team versus team, in a kind of base-building real-time strategy game. The game seems like a mix of Dragon Quest Builders and Stronghold. Just that the player only controls their character on procedurally generated maps.

Yes just like normal Minecraft, every map is randomly generated and players have to explore, gather resources and build up a fortress to defend against the other team or wild mobs. Honestly, it looks like a lot of fun and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.

Coming April 18. Day 1 on Game Pass for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Forza Motorsport

Once again, Forza is looking like it will be an amazing showcase of what consoles are graphically capable of. The showcase has the team talk about the amazing strides they’re making in graphical fidelity, as well as the impressive lighting and audio technology they’re developing.

Apparently, the game will be able to be played at 60 FPS with full ray-tracing in 4K on Xbox Series X. Featuring over 500 true-to-life racing cars and 20 locations.

Coming in 2023, Day 1 on Game Pass for PC and Xbox Series X/S.

Hi-Fi Rush

Someone let Shinji Mikami hang out with Suda 51 again. Thank you. With John Johannes on the helm, Tango Gameworks seems to be exploring their legendary founder’s other titles. While the studio is mostly known for its horror outings like The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo, Shinki Mikami was also infamous to be at the helm of Godhand, which still stands tall as one of the greatest action titles ever conceived.

Hi-Fi Rush is a character action game platformer that is committed to ‘on beat’ combat and exploration. From what we’ve seen so far, this seems like the melee, cartoon version of the newly popular genre of rhythm game shooter. Just that it operates like a cartoon network version of Devil May Cry. And yes you can pet the cat.

And it’s out now! On Game Pass for Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Elder Scrolls Online

While we’re all waiting for Starfield and the inevitable Skyrim 2. People probably forgot that in some corner of Bethesda’s offices, they’re still working on what might be the ultimate form of the Bethesda open-world RPG. Elder Scrolls Online is soon releasing its next big story expansion Necrom which comes with a new area of Morrowind to explore as well as the new Arcanist class.

If you haven’t tried it yet but the world of The Elder Scrolls is still calling to you, there is absolutely no reason not to try it. Especially since they have now announced that all previously released Chapters/Story Expansions will be available for everyone who owns the base game.

The Elder Scrolls Online features a vast world you can explore alone or with your friends ranging from the frozen Tundra of Skyrim all the way to the Summer Isles. Give it a shot as its available on Game Pass!

The Elder Scrolls Online is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S

Redfall

Arkane’s next outing Redfall finally has a release date. And it seems to be a combination of everything the team has learned with titles like Dishonored, Prey, and the recent Deathloop. It’s an open-world Coop-shooter that seems to combine the gameplay of Borderlands, FarCry, and Left 4 Dead with Arkane’s special brand of immersive sandbox sim.

The players are forced into a desperate battle of survival as the town of Redfall is overrun by vampires and their minions. You have an evergrowing arsenal of magic abilities and gadgets at your disposal to fight back against the bloodsucking threat. Your goal is it to liberate the town of Redfall by completing tasks around the open world, saving its citizens, and taking the fight back to the vampires!

Coming May 2, 2023. Day 1 on Game Pass for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
