How to Get Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom
To get Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom, you’re going to need to head a specific spot on the map and unlock it. Not too complicated, but actually getting access to the Mask is a real gauntlet. You’ll need to get through a pretty tough fight, getting this done in the early part of the game is going to be difficult.
To get to Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to head over to the Floating Colosseum. This is an area located in the Depths. That’s one of the two new levels to the open world map in Tears of the Kingdom. You can find the Floating Colosseum specifically just south of Hyrule Field Skyview Tower. It’s located in the Great Plateau North Chasm.

The Floating Colosseum is home is a tough boss fight. Once you land here, you’ll need to take on Lynels. There are five of them in this fight. This is pretty difficult. If you’ve taken on any fights with the centaurs in the game, you probably know they’re difficult to beat. One of the tougher enemies in the game, and you’ll need to fight five of them. There are a few strategies you can use to make it a bit easier though. You could use one of the crazy builds in TOTK, or there’s some OP weapons for this fight.
The best way to fight the Lynels in this challenge, is to make use of Ancient Blades. These are items which will one-shot a Lynel once you attach them to arrows. Although, on the other hand it’ll also destroy everything they drop. Those items are pretty useful too, but they’ll be gone if you take the easy way out. There are other strategies for taking out Lynels if it’s their drops that you want. However, the Ancient Blade tactic is the easiest way to get Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom.
Once you’ve taken out all five Lynels, a chest will appear in the middle of the colosseum. Head on over to it, and you’ll find Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom, ready for use.
What is Majora’s Mask?
Majora’s Mask has a different role in different Zelda games. In TOTK, it has a similar function to what it did in Breath of the Wild. Majora’s Mask is an iconic Zelda item. It’s only appeared in a few games though. The mask was worn by the main antagonist of Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask. Here, it was an ancient artifact that was used by an old tribe in evil rituals. It became possessed by these evil spirits, when it was eventually found by Skull Kid. Together, they tried to bring the moon crashing down into the earth, until Link stepped in.
Just like Epona in Tears of the Kingdom, Majora’s Mask is a fun throwback item. It appears to call back to some of the Zelda classics. It isn’t an essential item in a play through, but picking it up can give you a lot of opportunities to get around enemies.
