How to Get the Link’s Awakening Set in TOTK
The Link’s Awakening Set in TOTK is unlocked similarly to getting Fierce Deity Link in Tears of the Kingdom. It might be a classic Link set of armor, but you don’t necessarily need amiibo to get the outfit. Instead, there’s an-game method too this time.
The Link’s Awakening set in TOTK is broken down into a few different items. There’s the Tunic of Awakening, Mask of Awakening, and Trousers of Awakening. Each part gives you a different part of Link’s outfit.
The tunic and trousers are pretty standard here. However, the head is something special.
It’s a full mask for link that tries to make him look like the stylised Link in the Game Boy remake. In TOTK, it has the effect of making Link an uncanny version of himself. Woken back up, a Legend as a swordsman in Hyrule, and descending towards Bobokins wearing a giant dead-eyed cartoon mask of his own face, permanently stuck in an emotionless expression, and presumably riding some crazy attack drone. How to get the Mask of Awakening
The Mask of Awakening in the first part that you’ll be heading over to. For this one, you’ll want to head to the Thundra Plateau. To get the Link’s Awakening set in TOTK you’ll need to have completed the Thundra Plateau puzzle.
Once you’re over to the plateau, there’s some building you’ll need to do. At noonish, you’ll have to link two pillars. There’s a clue in the Thundra Plateau puzzle, but this is what you need to do.
The goal is to connect the shadows of the northern and southern pillars.
To do this, cut down some of the nearby mushroom trees. Combine the logs into the lengthy pole. Use it to connect the top of the pillars’ shadows. Then, make a campfire and wait until it’s noon. Once completed successfully, it’ll move the stone block and allow you to grab the chest from below, containing the Mask of Awakening.
How to Get the Tunic of Awakening
The next part of getting the Link’s Awakening set is the Tunic. For this one, you’ll want to head over to Ancient Columns, this is a bit below Lun-Orok Shrine. That’s the easiest place to fast travel to. Then head down to -3494, 0431, 0247.
There is Flame Gleeok here, but if you approach from the eastern side it shouldn’t notice you. Sneak up behind it, climb on to the high pillar in the area and step on the plate to get the next prize.
How to Get the Trousers of Awakening
The Link’s Awakening set is a little harder to unlock than the Ocarina of Time outfit in TOTK, but it’s worth doing for the weirder-looking Link at the end of it. This is the final part of the quest. You’ll need to head to Coliseum Ruins. You can get here by gliding southwest from the Hyrule Field Tower until you reach -1168, -1302, 0094.
This one is a bit harder. There’s another big enemy here, this time a Thunder Gleeok. You can’t avoid this one as easily as others in this questline. You’ll have to get pretty close to the enemy here, so you might want to check out some general Tears of the Kingdom tips to help.
Get close to the two knight statues below the enemy. You’ll see a soldier’s broadsword on one of the statue’s hands. Use Ultrahand to grab it and put it in the second statue. Once you do so, you can grab the last piece of the set and complete the Link’s Awakening set in TOTK questline!
How to get Link’s Awakening set in TOTK with Amiibo
That’s everything you’ll need to do to get Link’s Awakening set in TOTK. It’s a bit tougher than most of the other armor quests. Although, there’s an easier option. You can just use the Link’s Awakening amiibo to access the rewards, one per day with a random chance of this set spawning.
It’s a bit less fun than sneaking around multiple high-level enemies. Although, if you’ve got the amiibo sat around then it might be worth taking the easy way out!
The TOTK Link’s Awakening set in TOTK is definitely on the harder side compared to grabbing other key items like the clip to change Link’s hair. Although, the reward is arguably a lot more fun!
