Group B’s Winners Match will hold an exciting DRX vs Evil Geniuses encounter at Masters Tokyo
After winning their opening matches on Day 1, these teams will now fight for a spot in the Playoffs in this Best of 3. The in-game leader of DRX has already expressed his excitement about facing EG for the first time, and it will be exhilarating for sure, with both squads looking excellent. Although South Koreans are the favorites of this series, Evil Geniuses are no stranger to causing massive upsets – and with that being said, here are our predictions for this first-ever matchup of Masters Tokyo Day 2.

Even though Attacking Soul Esports had an impressive performance on their international debut, DRX looked much better at their opening match, with Rb securing a 1.44 rating through an insane 43-26 K-D. Kim “Zest” Gi-seok wasn’t present in this series, replaced by Jung “Foxy9” Jae-sung, who wasn’t the star of the game. Going into this Winners Match, we are unsure whether Zest will play any of the maps, but we are confident that MaKo and Rb will continue their stellar form to secure the Playoffs.

With Boostio’s incredible performance, both as an IGL and on the kill feed, Evil Geniuses refused to let go of even a single map against FUT. Demon1 didn’t have the impact we are used to seeing from the star rookie, but he still had a positive K-D even at the bottom of the leaderboard. This opening match has proven that Evil Geniuses are more reliant on a team effort than individual talents, which will be crucial in this face-off against Pacific’s one of the strongest contenders.
