Here’s a recap of every match from the final day of CDL Major 3 Week 1 qualifiers.
The Call of Duty League continued the Major 3 qualifiers with day three of week one. With three more amazing matches last night, here’s a recap of each game.
Seattle Surge 3-1 Paris Legion
Seattle Surge has struggled recently in the Call of Duty League. However, they looked back to their best last night as Sib and Pred returned to form. This was easy to see in the first map of the series, a Hardpoint on Bocage. Pred put up 41 kills and a 1.58 K/D as Seattle took the map 250-233 taking a 1-0 series lead.
Next, Paris Legion bounced back with a 6-3 victory on Tuscan Search and Destroy. However, Seattle hit back with a 3-0 Control win followed by a 250-232 Tuscan Hardpoint victory as Pred finished the series with a 1.29 K/D overall, and Sib wasn’t far behind with a 1.27.
Minnesota ROKKR 3-0 LA Thieves
The LA Thieves have looked great since the Pro-Am Classic, but they suffered a 3-0 defeat here to Minnesota ROKKR, a team who have finally improved with the addition of Havok. However, this match wasn’t about Havok, as it was Attach who dominated the series putting up 83 kills and a 1.41 K/D overall.
ROKKR kicked off the series with a 250-211 Gavutu Hardpoint win, followed by a dominant 6-2 Tuscan Search and Destroy victory before closing out the series with a 3-2 Berlin Control. In the Control, Attach finished the map with a massive 46 kills, over half of his whole series kills to bring his team the series win.
New York Subliners 3-1 Boston Breach
The New York Subliners kicked off this series with a 250-228 Tuscan Harpoint victory. Hydra dominated on this map, dropping 35 kills and a 1.59 K/D as the Subliners took a 1-0 series lead. Boston Breach replied with a 6-4 Tuscan Search and Destroy win, with TJHaly leading the line with a 2.25 K/D.
However, the next Control and Hardpoint went the way of the New York Subliners as Hydra ended the series with a 1.27 K/D overall, and 90 kills.
