The Asian Games will showcase a total of seven games as medal events, including FIFA (created by EA SPORTS), a customized edition of PUBG Mobile, and Arena of Valor for the tournament, along with Dota 2, League of Legends, Dream Three Kingdoms 2, HearthStone, and Street Fighter V.
The continental showpiece in Hangzhou, China in 2022 will witness esports athletes vying for gold, silver, and bronze medals in each title, amounting to a grand total of 24 medals that can be won.
At the 2018 Asian Games, esports was included as a demonstration event, and as a result, the medals won by participants did not factor into the overall medal count.
