It has been a busy week for London-based EXCEL ESPORTS with the company announcing a number of key changes to its leadership, as well as opening its brand new state-of-the-art gaming complex in London.

Changes In Leadership

There are a number of changes in the composition of the leadership team for EXCEL ESPORTS. Tim Reichert, who was the Esports Director, has moved to a new role as Chief Operating Officer.
Former Creative Director, Oskar Sisi is the new Marketing and Brand Director.

The appointments were confirmed by Wouter Sleijffers, the CEO of EXCEL ESPORTS.

Today marks another milestone with the expanded roles of Tim and Oskar, both seasoned veterans and innovating visionaries.

We’re working on our future and are looking forward to coming out with more news in due course. All from our XL HQ, the breathing new heart of EXCEL ESPORTS!

The changes come after an impressive 12-months for EXCEL which has seen the business continue to develop and grow in a number of key areas, as well as sealing partnership deals with companies such as JD Sports, Just Eat and EE.

The company also set a benchmark when partnering with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme as an activity provider, which it hopes will allow them to operate a course dedicated to all facets of the esports industry.

New Gaming Facility

At the heart of EXCEL ESPORTS growth in the next few years will be their newly opened London esports hub.

This new gaming facility measures over 5,660 square feet, and the company has explained that it retains an open mind as to how the space will be used and that they are flexible about how its service can become a part of the Shoreditch community in which it is located.

We’re open to ideas,” commented Wouter Sleijffers when asked how the company would utilise the space.

We want to remain open-minded and let the community and other UK businesses determine that. It’s a space where esports is happening, not just an office.

The facility boasts production studios, streaming rooms and the like, all with the latest technology to allow EXCEL ESPORTS teams, fans, partners and those in the locality to use and enjoy.

It is a multi-faceted space that will not only serve as a base for all the EXCEL ESPORTS various esports teams, but which will allow streamers, content creators, influencers and the like to produce their work in-house.

The gaming studio will also serve as a base for EXCEL ESPORTS to move into Europe and potentially beyond as it expands the range of teams and services it supports.

Indeed, the company has already hinted that there is going to be big news coming in June about a content creator set to team up with the company.

Back in March, their LoL esports team competed in the 2022 LEC Spring Playoffs, where despite featuring favorably in the esports betting, they finished sixth, with the tournament won by G2 Esports.

It is hoped that the changes made and the brand new facility will help the team continue to drive up results positively.
