Can this finally be the split Immortals exceeds fan expectations?
Only one playoff appearance and four bottom-two finishes in seven splits, Immortals have become an organization fans automatically put at the bottom of their power rankings at the start of each split. They once again made some changes in the offseason, the big one being parting ways with Mohamed “Revenge” Kaddoura.
Revenge has been with Immortals for over two years, starting as the young project player in the top lane, he became the face of the franchise in a very short time. His departure might signal a shift in focus for the organization, but the new direction might not be enough to save the rest of this season.

- AD Carry: Edward “Tactical” Ra
- Support: Erik “Treatz” Wessén
Colin “Solo” Earnest is stepping in to replace Revenge for the 2023 LCS Summer Split. While Solo has always been a positive influence on any roster he joined, he isn’t necessarily what Immortals needed. Solo offers a stable weakside top laner, willing to play carries so his teammates can get leads on the other parts of the Rift.
The other parts of the Rift for Immortals consist of three returning players: Kenvi, Tactical and Bolulu. Both Kenvi and Tactical are some of the most highly regarded prospects coming out of the Academy system, but they haven’t managed to find success in the LCS yet. Kenvi will play his just third split in LCS in Summer, but he’s been so far from his Academy days in the big leagues. Touted as the carry player in LCSA, the young jungler has been put into more of a facilitator role. But even in those rare games when he got the picks he usually wants, he failed to impress the audiences by showing what made him special during his time with 100 Academy.
Tactical is also on a similar boat. He had a promising start to the LCS with Team Liquid back in 2020, but what followed was a couple of years of disappointment. Despite the obvious talent Tactical has, he struggled to find any semblance of consistency during his relatively short career so far, which was the case during the last split. Now he is once again reunited with his former support from TSM Academy, Treatz. This duo won the LCSA in 2019 and was a force to be reckoned with. While there is a lot of ground to cover in Summer, especially since Treatz took the last split off as well, the preexisting synergy in the bot lane is a good place to start earning you confidence.
Immortals lack a significant carry threat on this roster with the current form of this jungle-support, which will mean a lot of pressure for the new mid laner Bolulu. Thankfully, the Turkish mid laner has a lot of experience doing just that. But that was mostly in the TCL, a much smaller pond. We saw him have a couple of great games when he got his favorite champions in the draft, Zoe and Vel’Koz, but the real trial will begin when he needs to adapt to the meta. Immortals’ two new signings bring a lot of stability with them as players, but this team always lacked players who can step up and carry games in the past. If this doesn’t change during Summer Split, they might miss yet another postseason.
