The tournament is limited to 3 hours, but you can only play 10 matches. If you make it high in placement every time, this means you won’t be able to fit in all 10 games. Although, if you drop out early enough times, you might have time to spare while everyone else continues collecting points.
Each victory is worth an instant $100. A victory Royale gives an immediate cash prize, no waiting to see how you fare. Obviously, it’s worth carrying on playing though. Getting a Victory Royale puts you in a decent position for the rest of tournament.
The format of the event is Solos, so you jump in on your own and nobody is on any teams. The game is played with the Arena playlist. This means that the lootpool is different from casual play. This season, there isn’t a huge difference in competitive playlists to pubs. The OP Shockwave Hammer is still there, as are most of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Exotic Weapons. It is a bit different, though. You’ll need to have enough experience in Arena mode to get through it though.
Prizes and Rules

If you’re not familiar with them, though, there are some quirks to the scoring to keep in mind. There’s an emphasis on placement here over kills in scoring. these Cash Cup set-ups are closer to placements mattering than elims. Players aren’t going to be able to rack up that many points through kills unless they take out half the lobby. Placing in the top 10 is essentially equal to a great game for kills. This is a strange set of rules, but it should make the tournaments a bit different to some other Battle Royales and they’re more suited to Solos.
At the end of the first session, the top players move into the second session with a fresh batch of tournaments.
Who Can Play?
