That’s because Betway has been granted a license to operate in the Argentinean capital city of Buenos Aires, and the company will be offering sports betting, casino gaming and esports betting to its 3 million inhabitants.
Betway will access the city through its partner site Bingo Pilar after being granted a license to do so by the Loteria de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (LOTBA).
They become the latest betting service and casino provider to be granted a license to operate within the Argentinean capital alongside the likes of bet365 and Betsson.
Customers can access Betway’s sports, casino gaming and esports betting services via a dedicated website as well as being able to download the Betway app.
“Long Time In Planning”
Speaking about the announcement, Anthony Werkman, the CEO of Betway revealed that moving into the Buenos Aires market had been a long-held ambition for the company.
“It’s been a long time in planning, so we’re obviously very happy for the Betway brand to be going live in the City of Buenos Aires,” he said.

Back in February, Betway announced that they had renewed their partnership agreement with the Peruvian-based Dota2 team Beastcoast.
Back in July 2021, the company announced that it had ambitious plans for expansion into three new continents outside Europe and it looks very much like this move is part of that strategy.
