It’s been two weeks since the first VCT EMEA Challengers 2 matches started, so we figured it would be a good time to take a look at the current situation in this Valorant region.

As expected, some of the favourites have claimed two early victories, establishing a solid early lead into the group stage. In group A, those were Fnatic and Acend, while Team Liquid and Guild Esports dominated their first two matches in group B and are sitting at the top with two victories each.

FunPlus Phoenix, G2 Esports, M3 Champions, and BBL Esports all find themselves sitting somewhere in the middle with a 1 – 1 score. This is a dangerous territory as only the top three teams will make their way into the playoffs.

Group A

This is the group where the majority of the big names in Valorant Champions Tour EMEA are competing, so the stakes are incredibly high.

Fnatic has been perhaps the most successful team so far as they’ve managed to overpower FunPlus Phoenix in week 1, landing their first 2 – 1 victory in the group stage. Immediately after, they defeated OG LDN UTD and secured their second victory. They’re facing Acend in week 3 and, if they win here, they’re guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.

Acend is following close behind Fnatic with two wins as well. They defeated OG LDN UTD and FOKUS, who are probably the two weakest teams in this group. Despite their early lead, they’ll be fighting some uphill battles from now on and can easily drop down into the dangerous 3rd-4th spot territory.

FunPlus Phoenix suffered a devastating loss against Fnatic in week 1, but they immediately bounced back and took a clean 2 – 0 victory against G2 Esports. They’re facing FOKUS and OG LDN UTD next, which should be two easy matchups where they can fully recover on the leaderboard. They should be a really safe Valorant betting pick in week 3.

Group B

Team Liquid and Guild Esports are the top two teams in group B right now, followed by M3 Champions in the 3rd spot.

Team Liquid had a pretty easy run so far, defeating BIG in week 1 and then beating the Turkish BBL Esports in week 2. However, they’re facing Guild Esports next, which will be their first major test in this tournament.

Guild Esports has a slight advantage as they managed to defeat M3 Champions with a 2 – 0 result, taking out one of the biggest dangers in group B. If they squeeze a win against Team Liquid, they’ll be the number one team in the group by the end of week 3.

M3 Champions are still one of the biggest favourites in group B, so their 0 – 2 defeat against Guild Esports was a bit of a shock. The team led by Redgar is usually on the winning side and doesn’t get stomped so easily. But regardless, they’ve managed to defeat Na’Vi in week 2 and softened the blow from the previous week. Their next match against BBL Esports will be crucial as BBL Esports also have a 1 – 1 score in group B. This means that whoever wins here, will secure that 3rd spot and avoid potential elimination in the group stage.

Week 3 Predictions

The two matches you should definitely keep an eye on will be Team Liquid vs Guild Esports and Acend vs Fnatic. These are the top four teams in groups A and B, and they’re all currently tied for the number one spot. Whoever wins these next matches will become the number one team in their respective group and will secure a path to the VCT EMEA Challengers 2 Playoffs.

Both of these high-profile matches will attract a lot of attention from the fans of Valorant and you can expect the betting sites to do the same. These two matches will have some great Valorant odds, so it’s an excellent opportunity to make some cash as well.
