As you can see, the odds are much lower here. The only team that can be labeled as a proper outsider here is OG. Nothing surprising considering the state of affairs in their roster as well as their most recent campaigns. They are far from their usual standards, that’s for sure!
Tournament Format
As mentioned earlier, the 2022 BLAST Premier World Final starts on December 14th with the first set of group stage matches. The group stage is imagined as a double-elimination system featuring two groups with four teams in each.
The group stage will only feature best-of-three matches, and only the bottom team in each of the two groups will be eliminated. The top three teams will advance to the playoffs; group winners to semifinals, others to quarterfinals high/low seeds.
The playoffs kick off on December 17th and will be held in front of a live studio audience in Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena. The single-elimination bracket is what we’ll be looking at once the playoffs kick-off. The matches will still be bo3 at this point. Yes, grand finals included.
Title Contenders

Faze Clan
Faze Clan was supposed to win it all this year. They kicked things off with two superb title runs in early 2022, only to go and win the Antwerp Major in May. They didn’t stop there – the IEM Cologne title went their way too, and the same went for the IEM EU RMR group A. Following that win, everyone thought we’d be seeing Faze Clan snatch back-to-back Major titles.
Unfortunately, it just wasn’t meant to be. On the bright side, Faze Clan had a solid run in Copenhagen, losing 2:1 to Heroic in the grand finals. This is important for several reasons, the most important being the fact they’re back in business. It will be interesting to see them perform here, that’s for sure!
Outsiders
Fame’s arrival to Outsiders brought a new level of competitiveness within the roster. Since then, even though they weren’t really that consistent, Outsiders went on to win the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Rotterdam and crown their spell of great performances with the IEM Rio Major title.
But, I just can’t see them repeating that in Abu Dhabi. They played well in Brazil, I won’t deny that. More precisely, I can’t deny that. But, when push comes to show in the Etihad Arena, should they even clinch the playoffs, I doubt we’re going to see Outsiders come out as the winners. That’s just my two cents – you do you.
NaVi
BLAST Premier odds for NaVi to win this one are at +500. Make that +175 if you’re going the easier route (read to reach the finals). What gives? Why are NaVi’s esports odds so poor these days? Well, it’s got everything to do with their current form.
You see, NaVi haven’t been at their best lately. Their last big win came all the way back in June when they won the BLAST Spring Finals. In fact, that’s their only big win this year. To put things into perspective – last year they had ten big titles to brag about.
But, this team has raw potential and brilliant individuals that can start shining at any given moment. True, sdy perhaps wasn’t the best solution, but he’ll get there. Give NaVi the benefit of the doubt and you might be rewarded with a +500 return… or at least a +175 one, if you opt for the less risky route.
G2 Esports
Last but not least – G2 Esports. These guys are nowhere to be seen on the CSGO stage nowadays. I’m sure you’re familiar with the fact they failed to qualify for the Rio Major. But, their problems don’t stop there. Just last month, they had a poor run on the BLAST Premier Fall Finals which only confirmed their worrying troubles.
M0NESY, the newest addition, is proving to be the best player in the current G2 lineup. But, that alone is a worrying statement because it means NiKo’s form fell down. huNter’s form is worrying too – plus, they’re dealing with a staff change that’s bound to leave a mark on their performances. All in all, even though G2 seems like a proper team to bet on, I advise you to stay away from their BLAST Premier odds.
2022 BLAST Premier World Final Betting Prediction
In the end, it’s about time we wrap this puppy up! With a handful of title challengers, the Abu Dhabi special is going to be one wicked tournament to predict. Heroic is the primary candidate, and rightfully so, but looking at the team sheet, there’s just too many good names here.
But, since I have to choose one, we’re going with a mixture of value and risk – Natus Vincere. Yep, I’m going with S1mple and the company here. Hear me out before you start barraging my poor esports betting choices here.
NaVi still have the same exact roster they used to win practically everything that could’ve been won. Most importantly, though, they still have S1mple. Even though he’s not at his best, he can start performing like a God at any given round and that’s what makes this NaVi team so dangerous.
