This is it, ladies and gentlemen! Today, we are here to talk about the upcoming season of Call of Duty League. More commonly known as the CDL, this (almost) year-long competition packs quite the punch weekend in and weekend out. Fans just witnessed the end of the 2022 CDL season, but CoD bookies already have CDL 2023 odds among their markets. Yep, despite the fact the 2023 regular season doesn’t start until December 2nd.

Format and Schedule

The format is as follows:

Regular season kicks off on December 2nd with the first batch of matches. The last day of the regular season is all the way in late May next year. That’s May 28th, to be more precise.

This season will consist of five stages featuring nothing but best-of-five matches. Each of the five stages will feature online qualifiers and be capped off with a Major. Want more details on the five stages? Check out this tweet:

The Majors are set as double-elimination brackets and will grant additional CDL points based on the teams’ performances.

As things stand now, we don’t have any concrete information about the 2023 CDL Championship. But, if previous iterations are any indication on the dates, we can expect the 2023 installment sometime in August next year.

CDL 2023 Odds

At the moment, the biggest esports bookmakers offer two types of CDL 2023 odds. They are as follows:

  • Outright winner
  • To Reach the Finals

Both options should be very familiar. We’re talking about the most popular types of futures we’ve had around for quite a while.

Futures aren’t really your thing? No worries, esports betting sites will cover the tournament in a match-to-match basis once the first regular season matches kick off.

Call of Duty League Championship 2023 Outright Winner

Let’s start off with outright winner CDL 2023 odds:

Team Odds
Atlanta Faze +200
OpTic Texas +250
LA Thieves +450
Toronto Ultra +600
Minnesota ROKKR +700
Seattle Surge +900
LA Guerrillas +1600
New York Subliners +2000
Las Vegas Legion +3300
Boston Breach +4000
London Royal Ravens +5000
Florida Mutineers +10000

Despite losing the 2022 CDL grand finals to LA Thieves, Atlanta Faze is the number one team according to the bookmakers. They aren’t followed by the reigning champs. Instead, it’s OpTic Texas in second place at +250, followed by LA Thieves in third at +450.

CDL 2023 To Reach the Finals

These CDL odds are very similar to the outright winner ones. But, as their name suggests, they only care about the two grand finalists. You don’t have to guess which team wins the title; you only have to guess one of the two grand finalists. That said, the odds are slightly lower here.

They are as follows:

Team Odds
Atlanta Faze -125
OpTic Texas +100
LA Thieves +200
Toronto Ultra +250
Minnesota ROKKR +300
Seattle Surge +400
LA Guerrillas +750
New York Subliners +900
Las Vegas Legion +1600
Boston Breach +2000
London Royal Ravens +2200
Florida Mutineers +5000

The best CDL 2023 odds for this one is Atlanta Faze at -125. I consider it slightly more valuable than the likes of OpTic Texas at +100 and LA Thieves at +200. Let’s face it, the only way Atlanta Faze won’t reach the playoffs is if they play LA Thieves in an earlier round. There, I’ve said it!

Best Call of Duty Betting Sites

Where can you place these bets? Are there any good online bookmakers that feature extensive Call of Duty betting coverage?

Of course, there are!

The esports betting industry is so active these days that pretty much all notable online bookmakers have standalone esports sections. Some even have dedicated esports hubs.

But, the fact that they’re now available left and right can easily catch newcomers off guard and lead them into registering at subpar bookies. You see, not all bookmakers offer a decent esports betting experience. So, if you’re in the market for an online sportsbook with CDL odds, here are your best bets (pun intended):

CDL 2023 Predictions

In the end, we owe you guys some concrete CDL 2023 betting predictions. So, can Atlanta Faze take yet another title or are we going to see a new name climb up the rankings and secure the grand finals?

According to the biggest esports betting sites, OpTic Texas and LA Thieves are the fiercest challengers. Both teams will fancy their chances at taking the crown from Simp and the Atlanta Faze boys. But, we all know it’s going to be an uphill struggle.

Thus far, we’ve had three full seasons of CDL and Atlanta Faze won all three regular seasons. On top of that, they won one championship (2021) and had two second-place finishes (2020 and 2022). They are the team to beat in the CDL, no doubt about it.

As far as concrete predictions go, my money is on Los Angeles Thieves. The reigning CDL champions definitely have what it takes to win back-to-back CDL championships. They’ve looked solid in the playoffs, beating Atlanta Faze 5:2 in the finals. Now, all they have to do is traverse their superb gameplay to the 2023 regular season and be consistent throughout the playoffs. Easier said than done, though, but if you’re hunting for value, this is it!
