Honestly, we didn’t expect this day to come because Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi has been one of the most dominating players in Dota 2.
However, it seems like the player has had health problems. According to his most recent tweet, he has decided to go on a break to deal with health issues. In other words, he won’t be a part of Nigma’s active roster.
The decision and its impact on the team
Nigma Galaxy consists of some of the best players in the world. The ex-Team Liquid roster has been at the forefront of the Westen European Dota 2 for some time now. However, the team failed to live up to the expectations in 2021 and 2022. In fact, they didn’t even qualify for TI 11.
It seems like the lack of good results and different kinds of health problems have affected Miracle, the team’s star player. Consequently, he decided to step down from competitive play and focus on his health. According to him, we will be seeing more of him behind-the-scenes support and helping the team.
This decision will definitely have a serious impact on Nigma because the team relied on Miracle- a lot. Even though there every other member is also world-class, this player was special, and everyone knows it. Sadly, the team will struggle to fill in the gap left by one of Dota 2’s most popular players.

Once a PUB star, Miracle- quickly made a name for himself many years ago. He became a part of the newly-formed OG, where he was the team’s carry/midder. After just a couple of games, the player showed what he was capable of and quickly became the fan-favorite.
Besides his dominant performance that allowed OG to win numerous events, including 2 Majors, Miracle- also shined in PUBs. In fact, he was among the first players to reach 9000 MMR, which is impressive even today.
After Amer decided to leave OG, he became a part of the newly-formed team led by KuroKy. The players won a couple of games and became a part of Team Liquid. This was when Miracle and co. slowly became the best team in the world and won The International 7.
Despite the huge success, Mind_ContRoL and the rest of his team decided to create their own organization called Nigma Galaxy. MATUMBAMAN was the only player from Liquid’s TI winning roster that was not a part of it, but everyone else, including Miracle-, continued to play under the new banner. Sadly, the superstar from Jordan decided to take a break, meaning that Nigma will have to find a substitute.
