Gender inclusivity in Esports has long been pushed forward and this partnership makes it one step closer towards the goal.

Two prominent figures in the industry will be hosting the first of many women’s CS:GO competitions at the World Esports Championship (WEC) 2022.

This tournament is expected to launch later this year and it will be featuring different esports national teams to compete for different titles.

From last year’s event the prize pool for WEC has been relatively increased from a share of $55,000 to $500,000.

Moreover, the prize money for the women’s CS:GO competition at the WEC has not yet been made public.

However, the CS:GO portion of the WEC event, which will also feature esports tournaments across five other games, including PUBG Mobile, Dota 2, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, will primarily focus on the female tournament.

It is anticipated that eight teams will participate, even if it is not yet known how teams will qualify for the competition.
