A former professional Dota 2 player who goes by the nickname “SexyBamboe“, has just passed away.
Alaan Faraj, as he was called in real life, started out as a professional Dota 1 player before making the transition to Dota 2 back in 2011.
He played in over 18 teams between 2011 to 2021, with the notable ones being Evil geniuses, Team Zephyr, and Mousesports.
News of his death was reported by Dot Esports, and was confirmed by his close friends, former teammates, and Dota 2 community members.
He was only 29 years old.
The cause of his death was not mentioned.
