Dota 2 - Alchemist attacks Greevils in Diretide

Here’s how you can play Alchemist in Diretide matches in Dota 2 with the Battle Pass 2022.

Esports players are enjoying the festive season by playing Diretide matches in Dota 2. These matches involve collecting Taffy from Greevils found on the map and placing them in enemy wells. You can defend your well from enemy heroes and prevent them from scoring Taffy to win more games.

Each team has 4 wells to defend in Diretide mode. The new seasonal game mode lets you attack Greevils, neutral creeps, Taffy Guardians, and enemy heroes in order to defend your well from being destroyed.

Roshan will roam the map of Diretide in search of the well with the most Taffy scored in it and destroy it within seconds. The first team that lures Roshan into destroying all 4 enemy wells will win the Diretide game. You can play Diretide matches with various heroes to have fun collecting Taffy.

Playing Diretide matches will help you win bonus battle points with the Battle Pass 2022. People can use the bonus battle points to unlock new skins for heroes in Dota 2. These skins include the Fury of the Thunderhawk set for Zeus, the Charms of the Firefiend set for Batrider, and the Sullen Sanctum set for Necrophos.

Take a look at this guide on how you can play Alchemist in Diretide to improve your chances of winning more matches with the Battle Pass 2022.

How to Play Alchemist in Diretide

Alchemist is a durable tank hero in Dota 2. The Strength hero can use his skills to score tons of Taffy from Greevils in Diretide mode. Alchemist can increase the gold per minute (GPM) gained in Diretide matches to help players build their core items faster in the game. The melee hero can stun enemy heroes and increase his attack speed and health regeneration rate to defeat Taffy Guardians in Diretide matches.

The melee hero has a base movement speed of 305. You can use items like Phase Boots to increase his movement speed and attack damage early on in the game. The increased attack damage from items like Phase Boots will let Alchemist attack Greevils to collect more Taffy in Diretide matches.

You can purchase several consumable items like Enchanted Mangoes and Healing Salves to replenish the health and mana of Alchemist. He has a number of spells that can be used to nuke enemy heroes and deal damage to Greevils in the new seasonal game mode.

Alchemist can spill chemicals on a large radius on the map to deal damage to enemy units using Acid Spray. Enemy units affected by Acid Spray, including Greevils and neutral creeps, can take up to 35 damage per second. Acid Spray has a radius of 625 and lasts for 16 seconds. Enemy units have their armor reduced by 7 while stepping into Acid Spray.

You can nuke Acid Spray around the center of the map to collect dozens of Taffy from Greevils. Acid Spray has a cooldown of 22 seconds and consumes 130 mana. You can instantly carry a few Enchanted Mangoes to restore 100 mana to Alchemist in battles, letting you use Acid Spray several times before running out of mana.

Diretide matches provide an increased GPM during the game. You can level up Greevil’s Greed to gain bonus gold from killing enemy units while playing Alchemist. The passive ability provides an additional 3 gold per kill. The bonus gold from these kills can be stacked for a maximum of 24 gold per kill in Dota 2.

Greevil’s Greed has a kill window of 36 seconds. You can use Acid Spray to kill more Greevils around Roshan on the Diretide map, resetting the kill window frequently in Diretide matches. You can buy items like Hand of Midas and Maelstrom to amplify the GPM of Alchemist.

You can stun enemy heroes by using Unstable Concoction. Alchemist can brew an explosive chemical that can be hurled at enemy heroes to deal up to 360 damage. Enemy units affected by Unstable Concoction can be stunned for up to 4 seconds, depending on how long you can channel the ability.

Unstable Concoction can be charged for up to 5 seconds. It affects all enemy units in a 250 radius. Most Dota 2 players tend to miss hurling Unstable Concoction before the charge time elapses, causing the spell to stun the Alchemist. You can prevent being stunned by Unstable Concoction by using it faster in team fights. Unstable Concoction has a cooldown of 13 seconds and requires 100 mana in the game.

Alchemist uses Chemical Rage to increase his attack speed

His ulti, Chemical Rage, can be activated to reduce the base attack time of Alchemist. The health regeneration rate of Alchemist is increased by 100 and his movement speed is increased by 60 while Chemical Rage is active. Chemical Rage has a duration of 30 seconds. It has a cooldown of 60 seconds and needs 100 mana to be used.

You can boost the health regeneration rate, movement speed, and base attack time of Alchemist through the Talent Tree. Alchemist can provide his allies with Aghanim’s Scepters with the bonus gold farmed in the game. Each Aghanim’s Scepter that is gifted to his allies will grant bonus damage and spell amplification to Alchemist.
