Aghanim’s Labyrinth Battle pass released with Drow Arcana, new event game and more

Valve has released Dota 2’s next battle pass, the Aghanim’s Labyrinth Battle pass. The new battle pass has a Drow Ranger Arcana, a Mirana persona as well as a bundle for Hoodwink. In addition, there’s a new event game which is sure to keep you busy for the holidays. 

What’s new in the Dota 2 Update?

Well, for starters, there’s a brand new event. The Aghanim’s Labyrinth Continuum Conundrum is a mouthful of a name, but promises to bring a lot of excitement to Dota 2 players.

“Thanks to a mishap with the Continuum Device, Aghanim’s magical prowess is now spread dangerously thin amongst a gang of alter egos that have materialized on our world from elsewhere in the multiverse. Without the ability to foray into the Continuum Vault himself to fish them out and restore the balance of his power, Aghanim must rely upon four brave heroes to rescue his doppelgangers and put this entire Continuum mess to rest.“

Players work in groups of four to progress through the Continuum Vault. As they progress through the Vault, the group has to make decisions all the time. Players get two doors to choose from and depending on their choice, the game will play out differently each time. 

Initially players have fourteen heroes to challenge the Aghanim’s Labyrinth. The hero pool expands with time and as the players progress through, including unlocking legacy Aghganim’s heroes from the previous year. Players can pick up Aghanim’s fragments for Aghanim’s Blessings. These fragments determine your strength and ultimately how far you can reach in the vault.

Drow Arcana

Drow’s Arcana is finally here, but it’s behind a massive paywall. Available at level 333 of the battle pass, Drow’s Arcana is one of the best-looking cosmetic in this update. 

There’s been a lot of effort put into this arcana as it contains custom animations and effects. There are also custom hero assets along with over 800 voice lines. These voice lines are voiced by the original actor and include some interesting tidbits of revenge against Drow’s opponents. The Arcana also has an unlockable second style that is sure to be the aim of most drow players. 

Mirana Persona

Mirana’s relatively bland character will get a slight upgrade with the persona at level 135. The Mirana persona bears resemblance to her Netflix design and also includes her mount, Sagan. 

Hoodwink Prestige Bundle

The Hoodwink Prestige bundle is the cutest of the lot as it includes some excellent running animations. The colorful bundle is available at level 277. 

In addition to these cosmetics, the Aghanim’s Labyrinth also includes custom towers, wards and couriers. There are also ten new immortals including Doom playing a musical instrument.
