On May 4, the last two matches of the European Qualifier unfolded, and the winners qualified for the IEM Dallas main event. This tournament will feature a $250,000 prize pool and it will happen from May 30 to June 5 in Dallas, Texas.

In the winner’s bracket finals, Entropiq would face the German team BIG. Up to this point, Entropiq had one of the best runs of the qualifier, managing to take down Fnatic and Copenhagen Flames in a dominating fashion.

The series between Entropiq and BIG was really close for the first two games of the series. Entropiq started fiercely in the first map, securing a 5-round lead during the first half. They struggled a bit on CT side but ultimately won the game 16-12. The second map was a closer fight between these two teams, but BIG managed to come back during the second half and closed out Mirage on a 16-14 score.

We were all expecting the third map to be the closest of all, but Entropiq completely dominated BIG and secured a spot in IEM Dallas.

At the same time, MOUZ was having an encounter against the Copenhagen Flames to determine who would face the loser of the Entropiq vs BIG series. MOUZ was able to take down the Flames 2-0 and advanced into the finals, where they faced BIG.

The Germany-based team wasn’t going to give BIG any chances to take control of the game because they knew how strong of an opponent they were.

The first game was played out in Ancient, where MOUZ started with a deficit. First half ended up going BIG’s way and resulted in a 9-6 score in their favor. MOUZ found the ways to come back into the game and secured the second half of Ancient quite convincingly, winning 10 out of the 14 rounds.

During the 3rd game, we had OT, this happened because BIG managed to bounce back unexpectedly in the second half. But MOUZ decided it was enough and rolled over BIG on the last two rounds, guaranteeing themselves a spot in the main event.
