The GDC Awards 2023 nominations announced and Nintendo is absent

This year’s GDC is just around the corner as it takes place in March in San Francisco and general pulls in a sizeable audience. The annual Game Developer Choice Awards will take place at the event and this year’s nominees have been announced. There’s plenty of solid titles in the various categories on offer this year as indie game Tunic is up for the prestigious Game of the Year award and the fast and stylish Neon White has been nominated for the Best Debut award and Best Design award. However, Nintendo hasn’t been nominated for any categories this year despite releasing Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The Game Developers Choice Awards 2023 will take place at GDC between 20th March and 24th March. Here’s the nominees:
