Japan: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is #1 this week

It’s that time of the week again where its time to find out how video gaming hardware and physical gaming software did in Japan. Famitsu has decided to release the latest boxed video game and hardware charts. This time, it’s for for the week of April 15th to 21st. As usual, both of these sales charts are followed by lifetime sales.

This week, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe managed to make it to the #1 spot. However, that’s not the only thing Nintendo can be proud of. Out of the 10 games listed on the software sales chart, 8 of them are Switch games. Meanwhile, the OLED model of Nintendo’s hybrid console was #1 on the hardware sales charts.
