The latest charts have come through from the land of the rising sun via sales tracker Famitsu for the week of 16th January, 2023 to 22nd January, 2023. There’s a new No.1 dethroning Pokemon Scarlet & Violet‘s long run at the top of the charts since release and it is the new entry in the acclaimed Fire Emblem series, Fire Emblem Engage on Nintendo Switch. Fire Emblem Engage shifted 144,558 retail copies which is slightly more than Fire Emblem: Three Houses which sold 143,130 copies during its first week on sale in 2019. The best-selling system was the Nintendo Switch family selling 51,587 units, though more stock of Sony’s PlayStation 5 console must have arrived as it shifted 42,152 units this week.
