Japan: Famitsu says Switch family of consoles sold 4.805 million units in 2022

Japanese sales tracker Famitsu has published their annual sales report for boxed-video game software and hardware in the land of the rising sun for 2022. The Nintendo Switch family of systems were by far the best-selling gaming hardware of choice for Japanese consumers, shifting nearly 5 million units in total during 2022. The top ten best-selling video game list is populated with Nintendo Switch software with nine of the top ten games being Nintendo Switch games with the acclaimed Elden Ring being the exception at No.10.
