Popular gaming YouTuber RebelTaxi has been sent an unreleased early build of the original classic de Blob for the Nintendo DS handheld system. The game was initially in development by Helixe but it was ultimately canned and was never released for the platform, though the follow-up, de Blob 2, was officially released for the Nintendo DS in 2011. It is not entirely clear what happened with Helixe’s version of de Blob for the Nintendo DS, but it sadly never saw the light of day. Both versions were set to be published by THQ. Hopefully RebelTaxi puts out a new video showcasing the game in action along with the game’s rom.
