Tim Reichert, previously a member of Schalke 04 Esports, formally acceded as its Esports Director to UK-based EXCEL Esports.
Reichert’s new responsibility will be to drive the strategies of EXCEL throughout its competitive rosters and talents. This encompasses mental and physical health, education, statistics, development of people, living conditions and access to schools.
Dexerto reported earlier this week that the former managing director of Schalke 04 Esports was transferred to the British organisation with EXCEL today’s official confirmation of the storey.
After 5 years at Schalke 04 Esports, Reichert joins EXCEL. During that period he supervised the German esports club’s growth, helping Schalke 04 to form legends, FIFA and PES squads. The former football player has had a role in German expansion since the 1990s, and alongside his brothers, Ralph and Benjamin, he is the co-founder of SK Gaming.
Reichert commented on his hiring, “I am pleased to join the EXCEL team and contribute considerable experience to two great esports organisations, as the new esports director. With a strong management team and support network, EXCEL’s unique place as one of the most powerful economies in Europe makes it perfectly positioned for the future and there are never-ending chances to hire top people.’
As the organisation seeks to expand its background business, Reichert is adding to the growing list of recent EXCEL contracts. This includes the new Creative Director of EXCEL, Oskar Sisi, Abi Odell as Manager People & Culture and several additions to his trade team.
