While the series ended in a 2-0 in MxM’s favor, valyn and his squad put up a great fight to make both maps extremely close. Nonetheless, being one of the best teams in the North American Challengers League and considering G2’s recent form, The Guard have all the signs pointed at their victory. ShahZaM’s squad finally ended their horrible losing streak against Shopify, where the IGL himself was the star of the show alongside OXY. The final map of the Bo3, Ascent, looked exceptionally well from the G2 players, as they shut down Shopify with a 13-3 victory and survived their first elimination game. This change of pace is definitely what was needed for the roster, but continuing it against a team like The Guard will require a massive upset.
