TFT Set 7.5

TFT Set 7.5 12.17 B-Patch is Coming Out Along with Some FAQs from Mortdog

[ad_1]

The TFT dev team is dropping a B-patch to address some immediate balancing issues around TFT Set 7.5.

Every time a new set comes to the live servers for Teamfight Tactics, it is expected that the game will not be in the best shape from a balance perspective. This also goes for the TFT Set 7.5, Dragonlands: Uncharted Realms. Ever since the new set started to get played on live servers this Wednesday, a couple of comps have been dominating the lobbies, to the players’ frustration.

One of these comps is an old friend, Scalescorn Olaf, which is especially strong with the addition of Pantheon to the roster. But the biggest offender has to be the new trait Darkflight, which gives players the opportunity to clone one item on multiple champions. Combining multiple Zeke’s Heralds and already strong Cannoneers like Aphelios and Graves made Darkfight an S+ tier since day one.

Of course, players have been expecting some nerfs, and as always TFT devs are quick to deliver with a B-patch. TFT Lead Designer Stephen ‘Mortdog’ Mortimer posted the details of this B-patch on his Twitter, which includes nerfs to both aforementioned comps, and some other fine-tuning. The B-patch is expected to drop tomorrow, and you can find the change list below the article.

A quick Q&A with Mortdog – TFT Set 7.5

Mortdog also posted another Tweet, where he answered some frequently asked questions about the start of the new set, some bugs currently existing in the game and what is his team’s approach towards these.

Part of the player base has been asking for a quick micro patch to adjust the Darkflight trait’s interaction with aura items like Zeke’s Herald and address some champion interactions with the Dragonmancer Emblem. Mortdog talked about their limited ability with the micro patching and also the limitations with the language localization among multiple regions. While also talking about how the team would rather nerf the champions themselves rather than the unique aspects of traits.

Mortdog also touched on some current bugs in the game like invisible units, champion targeting issues, etc. Apparently, these bugs all share a cause, which is The Skipping Stone Boom. The team will be disabling the boom animation for the B-patch as they look for a permanent solution.
