With TFT Patch 12.14, 10-cost dragons will get updates to their abilities.
TFT Set 7 Dragonlands has been very popular for Riot, but if there is one main complaint among the player base, it is the dissatisfaction with the 10-cost dragons. 5-cost carries have always been a staple of TFT in every set, but in Dragonlands most of these units are support units, except Yasuo. And the dragons from the same tier most of the time are just not strong enough.
On the other hand, tier-4 or 8-cost units have been very successful. Sy’fen, Shi Oh Yu or Idas have been in the meta for most of the set now. To answer this sentiment among its player base, the TFT balance team has decided to make some changes to what is supposed to be the premier carries of the set.
These changes were announced in a tweet by the lead designer, Stephen ‘Mortdog’ Mortimer. The changes are pretty straightforward, as Shyvana and Aurelion Sol are getting some nice buffs, while the only in-meta 10-cost Ao Shin will get a slight nerf to its 1-star variant.
Patch 12.14 is coming next week on 7/24, and one of the focus areas is making sure our Legendary Dragons really hit the mark. If you 2-star one of them, it should be worth it! Here’s a preview of what you can expect to see changed numbers wise. pic.twitter.com/uH5ENPcshM

It will be interesting to see what will happen around these dragons and if they can become better choices than simply going for a 4 or 8-cost carry. The changes will hit live with patch 12.14, which will drop on July 27.
