Team Spirit become the latest multi-game organization to join the women’s CSGO scene by acquiring an ESL Impact team
The third season of ESL Impact is shaping up as the tournament’s grandest iteration to date, and Spirit have become the latest esports giant to join the competition. The Russian clan acquired MVP, who ply their trade in Group A of the European Division.
This is Spirit’s first investment in the female eSports scene since their formation. The clan revealed that they had plans for entering the women’s gaming circuit, but had not been able to do so because of circumstances not being conducive to the move. They identified MVP as their best investment opportunity after months of scouting.

“Female CS definitely has a lot of potential because of the tournament ecosystem, which didn’t exist before,” A spokesperson for Spirit explained to HLTV.org. “One of the key events in it is ESL Impact, and of course we wanted to be represented there.”
Spirit’s New ESL Impact Team: Who Are They?
Spirit fe are still playing under the MVP label. Lea “xia” Vagová is the leader of the pack. The Slovakian has been pivotal in the team’s ESL Impact qualification campaign with an impressive 0.86 kills per round.
Mirte “Moraltis” Horemans and Justina “Tynka” Ducká were previous teammates of Xia. Svetlana “suns1de” Mevlid joined as the youngest member of the team and Jammie “Jammie” Alagozova brought some much-needed experience into a youthful squad. Jammie is 23 years old and has played 337 competitive CS: GO rounds.
Spirit fe have already played their first two ESL Impact matches, but they are yet to taste their first win in the division. The newcomers were dealt a hard draw as they had to confront the defending champions, Nigma Galaxy, in their opening match.
Following a 2-0 defeat against Galaxy, Spirit fe locked horns with Danish outfit Astralis fe. The tie ended 2-1 in favor of Astralis. Xia and her team will set their sights on picking up their first-ever ESL Impact victory when they play BIG EQUIPA on March 23.

Spirit have appointed Aleksey “Nevar” Voronov as the new MVP coach. Nevar had previously coached five teams. His first coaching stint was at Project X, which broke into the HLTV Top 50 rankings under his tutelage before disbanding in March 2021.
Nevar said he does not expect his team to deliver big results immediately. He wants to focus on building team chemistry and treat the first season as a ‘’trial run.’’
Which Other Gaming Companies Have Joined The ESL Impact Season 3?
Before Spirit’s announcement, German eSports organization G2 and Guild Esports from the UK introduced their ESL Impact teams. G2 Oya lost to NAVI Javelins in their first match but bounced back with a 2-0 win over Flames Shieldmaidens.
Guild, on the other hand, had a dream start to life in the ESL Impact with a 2-1 victory against Angels. But, they could not hold on to the momentum as they lost to 9 Pandas Fearless afterward.
