RF Online plans to award players cryptocurrencies in 2022

After the announcement of the revival of RF Online on a global server, developer CCR raised the hype further by unveiling a new ‘battle coin server’. The server will provide a play-to-earn service that rewards players with cryptocurrencies.

As of now, the global release of RF online has included 34 countries. CCR CEO, Yoon Seok-ho, revealed that the seasonal “battle coin server” is set to launch in the first half of 2022. The server will provide a play-to-earn service that rewards players with cryptocurrencies.

CCR has yet to reveal all the details, but it is claimed that gamers would be rewarded in small tokens of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Top players will also be rewarded in crypto at the end of a season.

South Korean mobile game developer Netmarble also disclosed its intentions to create a mobile version of RF Online. CCR Business Manager Lee Tae-hoon further elaborated that CCR plans on having large-scale promotions and adding benefits for users in the coming expansion of the PC MMORPG.
