The Superweek’s NRG Esports vs Cloud9 game is the North American teams’ encounter after eight months
The first half of the Superweek of VCT Americas ends with a matchup between these two North American squads who last fought each other in last year’s LCQ. While Cloud9 are approaching this game as the favorites, NRG’s FNS is known to have excellent counters against fellow North American players.

On their last Bo3 against MIBR, NRG played three close maps and ended up facing an upset from the Brazilian roster. So far, FNS’ squad confirmed only one win in this event, but we think they can dominate another North American team with excellent counter-strats.

Cloud9
Cloud9’s new roster is looking very promising so far into this tournament, with a 5-2 map record. Versus 100 Thieves, C9 didn’t allow the Bo3 to go to a third map as we see leaf return to Duelist roles. Both jakee and runi are carrying their own weights in VCT, even though it is their debut tournament.
