Netflix has been globally known as one of the most successful video streaming services, but the company is now venturing into new territories.

Just 2 days ago, the company announced that it has bought video game creator Night School Studio, and has just launched 5 new game titles on mobile.

The 5 new game titles are as follows:

  • Shooing Hoops
  • Teeter Up
  • Card Blast
  • Stranger Things: 1984
  • Stranger Things 3: The Game

Games are currently only available in the European region, but may begin arriving to other parts of the world real soon.

The new titles can be accessed directly from the Netflix Android app, under the new ‘Games’ tab.

From the company’s recent Q2 earnings call, Netflix announced that it is serious about getting into the gaming industry, although they are still in the early stages of exploring this model.

“We view gaming as another content category for us, similar to our expansion into original films, animation, and unscripted TV,” read Netflix’s shareholder letter, adding that its initial focus would be on free games designed for mobile devices. “…Since we are nearly a decade into our push into original programming, we think the time is right to learn more about how our members value games,”
