Major 2 to be held in Minnesota, with a Challengers LAN involved too.

The Call of Duty League released its 2022 schedule a long time ago; however the second Major always had a question mark next to it. While Minnesota ROKKR were in place to host the event, they were yet to find a venue. Today they announced they’ve secured one. Major 2 will be held in Minnesota at Mystic Lakes.

“We’re thrilled to bring the highest calibre of live professional esports competition back to Minnesota, and to partner with Mystic Lake to create a great fan experience around the event,” Brett Diamond, chief operating officer at Version1.

Being selected as one of four markets to host a Call of Duty League Major is a credit to the passion Røkkr fans have shown since we hosted the opening event of the inaugural 2020 season. This event is an opportunity to bring together esports fans from across the region; and welcome in those who are simply curious about esports and want to check out the spectacle for themselves.”

Across March 31 to April 3, all 12 Call of Duty League teams will gather in Minnesota for the second LAN of the year. With $500K up for grabs.

In addition to the professional COD League tournament, Røkkr is also hosting a Challengers tournament. Challengers is the amateur competitive circuit serving as the formal path to pro for up-and-coming Call of Duty players. The Challengers tournament will take place at the same venue, March 31-April 3, featuring up-to 96 teams of four.

The Minnesota Røkkr Major II Tournament ticket presale begins on Friday, February 25. But fans must sign up in advance at rokkrtickets.gg to access the presale.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, February 28 at rokkrtickets.gg.
