Luminosity Gaming announced its roster for the Halo Championship Series (HCS).
The HCS is less than a week away from the highly-anticipated LAN event in Kansas City, Missouri. Many of the world’s best teams, including OpTic Gaming, Cloud9 and Sentinels, will appear for a chance to secure the latest major tournament win. While those squads are among the favorites, a new roster has officially entered the equation.
Luminosity Gaming officially revealed its roster today–ahead of this weekend’s HCS Kansas City competition. The organization will send Preston “CyKul” Sipes, Jason “Karmea” Morales, Spencer “Piggy” Thomas, Neuronical and Coach Mash to its first LAN as a cohesive unit.

The team formerly known as Incognito has shown its stripes over the past few competitive Halo events. After picking up Neuronical, the newly signed LG roster secured itself a pair of top-six finishes in a recent HCS Open Series and subsequent North American Split 1 Open Championship. Luminosity then qualified for the FaZe Clan Invitational, ultimately finishing top-12.
LG’s re-entrance into the HCS ends a five-year absence. The organization last represented a team at the HCS Pro League Fall Finals in 2017. Competitive Halo’s landscape is much different nowadays and includes a sizable deal between the league and esports brands.

Ahead of Halo Infinite’s release, the HCS revealed that it would partner with several foundational organizations for content pieces and in-game representation. The first batch of teams featured the likes of FaZe Clan, Sentinels, Spacestation Gaming, G2 Esports, eUnited, Cloud9, NAVI and Fnatic. It seems likely that Luminosity may have moved up the pecking order.
Halo Championship Series administrators have already confirmed that other brands can apply for partnership. Luminosity Gaming would fit the bill as a reputable organization in the Halo scene. For now, we’ll have to see how CyKul, Karmea, Piggy and Neuronical fare against hundreds of open bracket teams in Kansas City.
