Jump Force, the shonen-fighting game released in 2018 by Bandai Namco Entertainment, officially ended their 5-year activity as of today.
Jump Force’s sunsetting announcement was first announced back in November 2021 but it was later brought to light via an announcement from Bandai Namco’s Twitter.
Jump Force Closure Details:
Sales
- Jump Force will be delisted from Steam Marketplace, Xbox stores and major digital stores
In-game content closures
- Logging in to the multiplayer lobby
- Online events
- Clan functions
- Viewing the Notice Board
- Viewing the leaderboards
- Accepting Rewards from the Reward Counter
- In-game Store
- Premium Shop
- Ranked Match
However, this is not an absolute closure of Jump Force as existing players are still able to enjoy offline content such as story campaigns, online battles except ranked matches and DLCs.
The reason behind the closure of Jump Force is unknown, however, most of the speculations from the community are regarding licensing issues as Jump Force contains anime characters from various different franchises whose rights belong to various media companies.
It is not only Jump Force, another game has recently closed down after years of service.
