FURIA’s co-CEO, André Akkari, responded to rumors suggesting that Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo is the primary transfer target for the ESL Pro League Season 12: North America champions
André Akkari, the co-CEO of FURIA, revealed to Dust2 Brazil that the organization has yet to finalize its future lineup, leaving the door open for possible changes.
Akkari’s statement emerges amidst a flurry of rumors surrounding potential roster changes within FURIA. Brazilian insider Giovanni “gio” Deniz recently suggested on June 2 that Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement with the team, while speculations also circulate regarding the possible addition of Fernando “fer” Alvarenga to FURIA.
“The season is over now, [the] first part of the year is over. The debates are intense, all possibilities [are being discussed],” Akkari told Dust2 Brazil. “They include several options; keep someone, not keep anyone, bring new players. There are a thousand opportunities.
“If I tell you that there is a decision, I am lying, [there is] nothing defined. We have some conversations scheduled with the internal team, people who are with us, we have more conversations with opportunities, possibilities,” he went on. “They will happen now, in the next 20 days, so that we can make a decision later.”
With FURIA facing difficulties in recent matches and falling short of success in the majority of events they’ve attended this year, it wouldn’t be surprising to see potential changes in their starting lineup.

FURIA faced disappointment at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Legends Stage, finishing in joint-last place with a disappointing 0-3 record. Their struggles continued in the group stage of IEM Dallas, resulting in an early elimination. Amidst the challenges, their solitary silver lining came in the form of a victory over the smaller-scale team, Nouns.
Apart from that, FURIA have been receiving attention for their lackluster performance on the T-side, a topic addressed by Andrei “arT” Piovezan, the team’s in-game leader, during an interview with HLTV at IEM Dallas.
During their time in Paris, FURIA had a tough time on the Terrorist side, managing to secure only eight rounds across four maps. Their recent campaign in Dallas mirrored this struggle, with the team earning a modest 19 T-side round wins across five maps. With the potential addition of FalleN to their roster, it seems likely that FURIA aims to shake up their tactical approach during the off-season, aligning with the upcoming release of Counter-Strike 2 in the summer.
