The Beta for Overwatch 2 begins tomorrow, and if you don’t have access to it, yet, there is still time to get it. Blizzard answered a lot of common questions regarding the beginning of the Beta, including how to get an invitation. Here is everything you need to know about the Overwatch 2 Beta.

How can I access the Overwatch 2 Beta?

Blizzard opened the sign-ups for the Overwatch 2 Beta a few weeks ago. If you were selected to participate in the Beta, you will receive a welcome email from the Overwatch team with instructions on how to gain access to the game. The first emails will roll out at 11 am PT, but more players will be selected to join later test periods.

If you don’t get that welcome email, you can get access to the Beta by watching Overwatch 2 streams on Twitch. Link your Battle.net account and your Twitch account for a chance to get an Overwatch 2 invite by watching partnered streams between 10 am PT and 6 pm PT on April 27th. You will be eligible for Twitch drops after watching any participating channel for four hours.

How to launch the Overwatch 2 Beta from Battle.net?

Once you received your Overwatch 2 Beta access, follow these steps to launch the game:

• Log in using the Battle.net account.
• Click the Overwatch icon located at the top of the launcher homepage.
• Navigate to the Game Version drop-down menu located at the bottom left of the Overwatch game page.
• Select Overwatch 2 Technical Beta, install, and press the blue Play button to start.

When will the Overwatch 2 Beta end?

The Overwatch 2 Beta will begin on April 26, 2022, at 11 am PT. It is scheduled to run through May 17, 2022, but this date may still change.

Will my progress in the Overwatch 2 Beta carry over to the live game?

The progress you will make during the Beta will not carry over to the live game. The Beta is a work in progress and everything will be reset when the full game comes out. The Overwatch team is expecting to make various changes between the Beta and the official release, so things may be different when the game goes live. Some features will not be available in the Beta, such as the Competitive mode, profiles, and endorsements.

Which regions and languages are supported in the Overwatch 2 Beta?

The Overwatch 2 Beta is currently available to North America, Europe, Latin America, Brazil, Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.

The game is currently supported in English (US) and partially supported in other languages. The Overwatch team is working on adding additional languages, and more languages will be available on release.

Technical requirements to play the Overwatch 2 Beta

The Overwatch 2 Beta is only available for PC players – if you play on console or Mac, you will have to wait a little longer to discover Sojourn, the new maps, and game modes of Overwatch 2. You will need an Overwatch license to access the Beta.

Minimum system requirements for the PvP Beta, targeting 30 FPS:

• Memory: 8 GB RAM
• Storage: 50 GB available hard drive space
