Esports will now be recognized as a professional sport in Thailand, announced by the Thai E-Sports Federation (TESF).
TESF is an entity that manages esports in Thailand, founded in 2013 as Thai E-Sports Association and renamed as TESF in 2017.
The declaration aims to unlock several benefits for the local esports industry in near future.
This includes access to funding, promotion, and support for the benefits of the management of events, clubs, and other associations.
Esports will be the 14th recognized professional sport in the country.
