Elden Ring has been delayed by a month » TalkEsport

FromSoftware’s anticipated open-world game, Elden Ring was scheduled to release on January 21, 2022, during a week that is already packed with multiple game releases.

But it seems that you will have to wait another month to play Elden Ring as FromSoftware has announced that the game will now launch on February 25, 2022 “as the depth & strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations.”

Although the delay was unexpected, a select few players can enroll in the Closed Network Test by registering on the game’s official site before November 1. The Closed Network Test will take place between November 12 until November 15 during 5 sessions.

The Closed Test is scheduled for consoles only at the moment, with no indication of a PC test.

A 30-second gameplay of Elden Ring supposedly running on an Xbox One which showed off some of the game’s massive world and its armored protagonist was recently leaked on YouTube before being taken down.

The leaker claimed that the build was a “couple of weeks old” and that its low quality can be attributed to the fact that an “external” capture tool was used to obtain the footage.

Elden Ring will now release on February 22, 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One & Series S|X, and PC.
