BIG Renews s1n’s Contract

Elias “s1n” Stein extended his stay at BIG by penning a contract renewal

Elias “s1n” Stein, the 21-year-old esports athlete, will continue his journey with German club BIG as they announced his contract extension on their official website and later on social media. s1n has been competing for BIG’s academy team since January 2022.

The rifler thanked the Roobet Cup 2022 champions for having faith in him and highlighted his goal to build a long-lasting legacy in Counter-Strike.

“First of all I want to say thank you to BIG for trusting me. I‘m looking forward to grow here as a player and as an individual. My goal is to leave my footprint in CSGO and CS2, I‘m really happy to call this place my home. Exciting times ahead!”

s1n made the jump from the BIG Academy to the main quintet to cover for Josef “faveN” Baumann’s absence due to illness during the IEM Road to Rio Europe RMR.

Despite struggling with roster issues, BIG put up an impressive showing in the RMR, clinching a sixth-place finish with a 3-2 record and securing their spot in the Challengers Stage.

Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz’s squad dominated the swiss stage with wins against Sangal and Vitality, achieving a promising 2-0 record. Despite stumbling with 0-2 losses to both ENCE and Heroic, their determination paid off as they secured a place at the $1,250,000 Major in Brazil with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over K23.

s1n’s performance in his first assignment was neither exceptional nor underwhelming. He averaged 0.93 during the RMRs, but the team saw the potential in him to do better. BIG included him on the rosters for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022, IEM Rio Major 2022, and the Elisa Masters Espoo 2022. s1n struggled to perform consistently, but he showed glimpses of his abilities, which prompted the organization to keep hold of him. He currently plays for BIG Academy and serves as the team’s in-game leader.
