Rivalry launches esports betting app in Ontario

Rivalry has launched its eagerly-anticipated esports betting app for its customers in Ontario earlier this week.

The company, which is based in the Canadian province’s capital of Toronto and also recently reported outstanding growth in its latest financial results, had been working on the app for a while before its release.

It joins a small number of esports betting apps that are available across the Canadian state.

Rivalry, Inc.

Millennial And Gen Z Customers Targeted

Given that the recent financial report indicated that 97% of Rivalry’s customers were from the Millennial or Gen Z demographic, the new app has been specifically designed to appeal to these users.

The iOS-based app has been designed to offer a more immersive and entertainment-based betting experience for the user.

The app will not only feature all the top esports such as League of Legends and Dota 2, but it should also be a popular choice for people looking for betting apps for CSGO or Valorant betting too.

Additionally, the Rivalry iOS app also offers betting on a number of mobile esports titles, such as Call of Duty Mobile, Free Fire and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Alongside the extensive range of esports betting options on the app, its users can also make bets on traditional sports too, such as American Football, Baseball, Major League Soccer and more.

Exciting Aspects of the App

What makes the app exciting for users is not so much the breadth of sports and esports betting available on it, but how it is presented to customers.

The app has been designed to cater for the specific preferences and requirements of the Gen Z and Millennial audience, featuring a number of built in entertainment options, that resonate within the gaming culture and which will appeal directly to those involved in that community.

It is a strong move from one of the biggest names in Ontario esports betting and it should certainly appeal to its target audience, as CEO Steven Salz explained in the press release.

“Unique Consumption Habits”

“Mobile betting is a significant addition for our Ontatio operations and core audience of Millennial and Gen Z consumers that prefer the flexibility of betting on their phone,” said Mr Salz.

“Launching a mobile app adds an important layer of accessibility to our product, increasing our addressable market in Ontario, and allowing us to bring eports betting to more customers in the region and ultimately grow the category.

“We are engaging a demographic with unique consumption habits and betting preferences. This is a generation that expects more from the products, entertainment, and brands they consume, and we’ve customised our online betting experience to match that,” Salz concluded.

Since starting operations in Ontario in April 2022, Rivalry has seen a month-over-month increase in esports betting of 15%, making this move an easy one to make for the strategists at the company.

The app is now available to residents in Ontario that are aged 19+ and it can be found in the Apple App store.
