As we enter the penultimate week of LEC Summer 2022, there is no turning back from a loss. Teams in the league are in the midst of the most competitive playoff race in recent memory. Two of those teams are Vitality and Astralis.

Vitality has really stepped on the gas lately. In addition to back-to-back wins, they’ve also managed to beat some of the league’s top teams. Astralis, on the other hand, managed to stay in the race with an unexpected win against Rogue.

According to the official LoL Esports account, the Astralis roster has been hit by COVID-19. Therefore, they will play their matches online. While it’s easier to fight from their usual venue, the disease will set them back a bit. 

Team BDS vs Excel Esports

Predictions: Excel to win

League of Legends Odds: 1.22

There are no changes on the Team BDS side. They remain the worst team in the league. They have no victories in the first half of the season apart from a fortuitous win over G2.

It is very unlikely that Excel will make a mistake against a weak opponent. Especially when the standings in the league change with every win.

Misfits vs MAD Lions

The Misfits are likely to regret their unnecessary losses against the MAD Lions. In order to strengthen their playoff hopes, they will have to beat their rivals who are top of the league with 10 wins. But it’s not as easy as it sounds.

MAD Lions have found their form in recent weeks. No matter who they are up against or how they play, they manage to win games. In the 2021 season, this is one of the qualities that made them champions.

If Misfits have to win this match, MAD is the favorite.

SK Gaming vs Rogue

Although it has a low chance, SK Gaming has a mathematical chance of making the playoffs. Especially after a 2-week break, the team has improved its performance significantly and has managed to enter the playoffs from the last place of the league. However, early losses will cause them problems.
