EPIC.LAN, the esports tournament, events and gaming organisation company based in the UK, has agreed to refresh and renew their partnership with the massive technology giants Intel for the remainder of 2022.
With the terms of the renewed deal agreed, it means that Intel will be the main sponsor of all of EPIC.LAN’s CS:GO tournaments that are scheduled to take place across 2022.
The deal comes just a few days after EPIC.LAN had secured another renewal deal with hardware retailing company Overclockers UK, securing a second year of collaboration between the two.
Those agreements came after EPIC.LAN had already secured a deal with gaming chair specialists noblechairs.
The trio of deals are expected to help EPIC.LAN fulfil their designated role as the appointed tournament platform provider for the British Esports Association; a role which the company secured back in November 2021.

Improve Technology
As part of the renewed deal with Intel, the company will use their expertise to assist EPIC.LAN with demonstrations of technology at key gaming and esports events. In addition, they will also be involved in any promotions or giveaways that EPIC.LAN offer throughout the year.
Perhaps the most significant aspect of the deal is that Intel will advise and help EPIC.LAN improve the technology infrastructure that they use across their range of esports tournaments, which should improve the experience for players and fans alike.
It is an important deal and one that the Managing Director of EPIC.LAN, Jon Winkle, was thrilled to agree:
Our 2021 Intel partnership allowed us to continue providing really important activities for the gaming community, keeping people socially active through lockdowns and then enabling a safe and careful return to physical events towards the end of the year.
Intel really helped us to develop our community programme while securing more competitive prize pools for our upcoming esports teams participating in our tournaments. We look forward to working with Intel once again in 2022 to take our events and community to the next level.
UK Esports Boost
This is the second such move into the UK-esports scene that Intel have made in recent times. They agreed a deal with the National Students Esports (NSE) organisation, the official governing body for university esports in the UK, back in June 2021.
Their backing of EPIC.LAN and their tournaments will no doubt be a great help as the company seeks to attract more sponsors and help develop what is fast becoming a burgeoning UK esports scene.
While the UK has hosted a number of top esports tournaments in recent years, including the LoL Worlds and a BLAST Premier event, the esports scene is still a little lagging behind some of those in other parts of the world.
However, with Intel on board, EPIC.LAN will certainly be hoping to attract further sponsors throughout the year which will make their tournaments especially attractive, not just to the teams and players in the UK, but to the top players and esports teams around the world today.
With a strong esports betting industry already in place, the UK should enjoy a real esports boost this year if companies can continue to make sponsorship deals with major tech companies from all over the world.
