Asian Games 2022 LoL Format

A total of 16 nations have earned their spot after participating in the ‘Road to Asian Games‘, seeding depending on their performance:

• Knockout Stage Teams: China, Malaysia, India, Saudi Arabia
• Group Stage Teams: Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Macau, Maldives, Palestine, Kuwait, Thailand, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates

The entire event takes place across multiple stages in Hangzhou, China, between September 25-29.

Firstly, the Group Stage has 12 teams split into 4 groups of 3 teams each. Yet to be determined, the teams in each group face each other once, against the LoL odds, in a single round-robin format.

Following these BO1 matches, only the Group Winners move on to the Knockout Stage with a number of tiebreaker rules in place.

Once in the Knockout Stage, the four group winners join the four seeded teams as listed above. Here, a single elimination bracket with BO3 matches will crown a new Asian Games LoL champion.
