Fortnite’s Refer-A-Friend Program is back, and it offers a slew of Rainbow Racer-themed in-game cosmetics. Previously known as Reboot-A-Friend, Epic Games incentivizes bringing a former Fortnite player back after 30 days of no account activity.
You might be wondering what’s at stake if you participate in this revived program. Well, players who complete five predefined tasks with their referred friend can earn five rewards; a Loading Screen, Wrap, Glider, Pickaxe and Cosmetic Outfit.
Today, ESTNN explains Fortnite’s Refer-A-Friend program to help you understand how to unlock all five rewards.
How to Participate in Refer-A-Friend
The Refer-A-Friend Program requires an active Fortnite player to bring an inactive player back to the game. Once you’ve completed that step, you and your friend can reap the five rewards offered in the program. However, there are some particular prerequisites you must meet before completing the Refer-A-Friend tasks.
“The “Referee” must have less than 120 minutes played of a core Fortnite Battle Royale game mode (i.e., Solo, Duos, Trios, or Squads) in the last 30 days (includes new players). “
You can participate as long as your friend meets the requirements above. It’s worth noting you can refer up to five friends, but rewards are only earned by the “Referee” after the “Referrer” unlocks all items.
Here are all the Refer-A-Friend tasks once you have enrolled in the program:
- Task 1: Create a Connection (enroll in program with a friend) – Unlocks Gridlock Loading Screen
- Task 2: Play 1 Game in Fortnite with a Referee – Unlocks Miridescent Wrap
- Task 3: Place Top 10 3 Times with your Referee – Unlocks Flair Fare Glider
- Task 4: Eliminate 10 Opponents with your Referee – Unlocks Drive Shaft Pickaxe
- Task 5: Gain 60 Plus Levels on your own and Wait for your Referee to Gain 60 Plus Levels – Unlocks Rainbow Racer Cosmetic Outfit
The Refer-A-Friend Program went live at 4 AM on October 25 and will conclude on January 10, 2022. Be sure to participate to earn the various free cosmetic items above before the promotion ends. Refer to Epic’s website for more information.
