Considering the complicated circumstances that Heroic currently find themselves in, the team facing elimination on the second day of competition does not come as a surprise to anyone.
As of right now, only two players are contracted to stay on the team beyond 2023, those two being Rasmus “sjuush” Beck and Rene “TeSeS” Madsen. With all of that information, it is easier to understand why their 0-2 loss to FaZe was not something unexpected.
Having said that, there are still some talented players on that team who can take over a game with their mechanics and individual prowess. With MOUZ not being on top of their game, Heroic do have a slim chance at completing the upset and playing in front of the Abu Dhabi crowd in the arena.

There were no doubts that MOUZ’s level was going to take a hit, following David “frozen” Cernansky’s departure. The Slovakian rifler was a crucial part of that team for over four years, so it’s natural that it will take some time for Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek and his teammates to bounce back and regain their form.
The team showed some positive signs in their opener against G2, where they suffered two narrow losses on both maps they played.
Despite losing their star player, MOUZ is still one of the most talented and well-drilled rosters in the scene right now. Even though they are playing with a stand-in at this event (Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin), they are still capable of grinding out results against anyone.
